Description
This particular part of West Penwith I have now visited a couple of times, and like the West Penwith area it never fails to grab my attention, wherever I look it seems they’re is always a possible painting, its a truly magical place. The Stiles in this area are hundreds of years old and this particular one is known locally as a Coffin Stile, as this footpath was a link to the various Churches along this part of the coast. Today happily, the footpath serves a fabulous way to explore the coastal paths along the West Penwith area. The reference for this painting I gathered one early Spring Sunday morning, and it just turned out that the view I was most interested in was into the light which is something I don’t often do so it was quite tricky in getting the blanace between the darks and the lights right.
