Description
Here is “Setting Sail for St.Michaels Mount, Mousehole”. This is a bit of a first for me, including people at this scale. The idea for this Painting came from a 2 day visit to the Mousehole Sea Salt & Festival. A gathering of historic boats in one of my favourite locations, Mousehole. There were so many wonderful traditional boats & the care & dedication that the owners have there boats shone through with a real community vibe & togetherness. One of my favourite Art movements is the 19th Century Newlyn School of Art so the festival harks back to the days of old & its traditional boats. I wanted to hone in a bit regarding composition & make more of the narrative that each person viewing could conjure up there own thoughts. I really enjoyed Painting the figure & its something I definetly want o explore in future trips & studies.
The size of this Painting is 241 x 343mm & framed measures 394 x 496mm
